Andie Mitchell author of Eating in the Middle: A Mostly Wholesome Cookbook

Today is cookbook day! Eating in the Middle: A Mostly Wholesome Cookbook — my first cookbook, and second book, is published!! Now you can walk into every bookstore, all the Barnes & Nobles, any room in my mother’s house…and rest assured you’ll find two very special photos of me on book covers: one in plaid, one in a bikini top. And those are the gifts I give to the world these books.

Eating in the Middle: A Mostly Wholesome Cookbook

I wrote all about the cookbook and my eating philosophy in this post, but in essence, “eating in the middle” is all about balance–finding the middle ground between being healthy and feeling happy; between eating mostly wholesomely and little indulgently.

In 80 recipes, I show how I eat: a majority of them being healthy meals packed with flavor, like Lemon Roasted Chicken with Moroccan Couscous and Butternut Squash Salad with Kale and Pomegranate, and then “sometimes” foods, like Peanut Butter Mousse Pie with Marshmallow Whipped Cream and Dulce de Leche Cream-Filled Doughnuts, because I don’t want to live without doughnuts to be completely honest.

Andie, Having completed your book first, I discovered your blog and excitedly just ordered your new cook book. I was enthralled with your 1st book and finished it in 2 days, so I can only imagine how much I will soak in every word in your cookbook.

Your journey was so inspirational for me and I could relate on so many levels. Congratulations on this major achievement and thank you for helping us to see that as long as you have the balance in your life, you don’t need to be deprived or follow rigid diets with no flavor. Keep up the amazing work!
