Weekly Coffee Date

Hey friends!

On Thursday night, I attended a party to celebrate the release of my friend Julia Turshen’s delicious new cookbook, Small Victories, (post to come on this masterpiece) thrown by the one, the only, Sofia Coppola. (Side note: If you’ve read my book, you know I spent a good part of my early twenties working in film production, and the better part of my life in a movie theater. Lost in Translation is one of my favorites. When I got the invitation, I needed to lie down and have Daniel place a cold washcloth on my forehead. OK I’m realizing now that this is not a side note; it’s a paragraph.) The party was beautiful, lively, and just so warm with love for Julia. And of course, it was exactly as New York chic as I would have imagined–save for me, who sweated a great deal.

I love a sparkling wine. At the party, I really loved the Sofia Mini cans of wine–these tiny single serving cans of sparkling Sofia Blanc de Blancs wine that taste like fresh pears, melon, and honeysuckle. They’re cute, crisp, and refreshing, and I love the size and portability. I think they’d make a sweet gift!

But enough about me. Tell me about you and your life!
